I bought my first film camera, a used Canon AE-1, one day before my high school graduation. I grew up only a train ride away from New York City, and the following fall I planned to move there to attend Barnard College. That summer, on a day trip to Central Park, I took some of my first film pictures ever. For the past seven years, I’ve continued to document the endless amounts of commuters, park goers, sunsets, street musicians, and dogs that inhabit the city. Even the subway can look mesmerizing on film.
